Tulsa Spring Swing is an AANCE TOUR EVENT


WHAT is AANCE?

AANCE (Americas Amateur Novice Championship Events) is a swing dance tour, promoting the art of  West Coast Swing Dancing and it many regional styles.  AANCE consists of  “member" events, currently 20,  whose purpose is to offer the Novice and Intermediate level dancers a gateway into the world of  competition dancing. This is an amateur dancers’ opportunity  to improve their dance and  hone their competition skills, as well as an avenue to dance with other dancers from across the country and abroad. 

Since 2005, Americas Amateur Novice Championship Events Tour is the premier Amateur level Swing Dance circuit in the country and the only tour focusing on Novice and Intermediate level dancers, who compete for the opportunity to win the Championship title in their division.

The AANCE Tour of Events begins in January of each year and culminates at the National Championship the following January at the Americas' Classic Championships Swing Dance event located in Houston, Texas.  Throughout the year, dancers may compete and even qualify at multiple tour events across the country. Qualifying competitors move to the Championship event to compete for cash awards, event tickets and a customized AANCE Tour Winner jacket.

The Top Winners (20%) from each division at TSS qualify to enter the Championship contest for that Division at the AANCE Finals, held in January 13-16, 2011 at the Americas' Classic Championships Swing Dance event located in Houston, Texas.
